A few steps lead down from the yard to the sand. The sun rises straight in front of the living room, it's the thing guests mention most often, before even the beach.
Inside: the original pine panelling, a fireplace that actually heats, a full kitchen. Some come for a week of remote work in the off-season; others arrive on Friday with the dog and leave on Sunday.

The beach is at the foot of a staircase, and it is steep
It is the only way down, and it is also why nobody walks past the chalet. The shore sits below the yard, and the wooden staircase reaches it in one flight, with a handrail on both sides.
We say so here rather than let you find out on arrival. With bad knees, a stroller or a lot of beach gear, factor it into your day. Children climb it easily; a full cooler is another matter.
In winter it is not cleared: the shore is then something you watch from the yard, which is worth the trip too.
